CLIENT This 4 bedroom house was to be home to three generation of Khoslas. The client wanted to showcase a warm and expressive home with an accurate reflection of how the diverse personalities and generations have come together to create beauty and complexity in their home. PROJECT BRIEF Old world charm in a modern life – this was the concept interior brief of the 4000 sft. four bed room flat at Ireo, The Grand Arch. This was to be the home of a joint family with where the client lived with his parents and children. Hence, their need was that of contemporary meets classical look. For this home, we evolved a concept of minimalism yet lending it richness with the use of an opulent material palette. The living room omani marble flooring with a ceiling and wall surface inter spread with straight line timber portals and beams adds one of a kind charm. The living room highlight is an old restored door used as the dining table top and also used for the feature center table adding drama to the area. The master bed room is minimal yet grand with a carved vernacular headboard feature bed, colored tiles on the study desk and timber furniture give the room a glamorous yet understated look.
