CLIENT Mehtas wanted this 4 bedroom home for their small family done up in a way that it creates relatable spaces for the couple and their young teenage son. They were very clear about the spaces they needed and had a broad view of various “bedrooms’ and their eventual function. The client wanted to showcase a modern and elegant home with straight lines with a dash of the “eclectic” to be achieved with a minimalistic approach. The basic idea was that each space should have its identity-‘ Function wise or Owner wise.’ PROJECT BRIEF Modern, contemporary and no curvy, engraving type look… Modern material for a modern home – this was the concept interior brief of the 4200 sft. four bed room flat at Ireo, The Grand Arch. The emphasis was on modern simplicity with a dash of elements that spruce the pastel color palette of the interiors. Since the interiors were for a small family with particular TV habits, one of the bed room adjacent to the living room was converted into a TV lounge with easy sitting, state of the art audio-visual and a general casual ambience. Wooden flooring with leather sofa seating, colorful artwork on accent wall with customized graphical curtains; complete the look of this space that the family likes to spend a lot of time in. The Master bed room gives a very soothing feel with an accent veneer wall that has an etched decorative glass inset, lit from below. The white ash color palette is very soothing complemented by the pastel curtains with a dash of color in the form of artwork and cushions on the easy chair. The son’s bedroom is very modern with his favorite color as the accent for his personalized bed space. The living room omani marble flooring with a false ceiling and with indirect Led strip lights in the cove ceiling, give a clean look to the space with Living accent wall finished in Italian marble with colored mirror inset niche, adding to the drama of the space with multiple mood lighting options. The area between living and dining is seamlessly connected by the bar and display unit that transcends both functions.
