kids room

Kids spend a lot of time in their bedrooms, it’s their personal space, where they play, study and do some mischief. Kids change their taste a lot, which means it’s pretty hard to please them via interior design but that’s not of course impossible. We as, interior designing firms try to keep with their changing taste and provide a perfect kid’s room for your kid.

The most common mistake while designing the interiors of the kid’s room is not focusing on the color of the room. We keep color as our main priority as that’s the first thing that will stand out. A dull brown color won’t do wonders, even if you place their favourite toys, wallpaper in the room.

Here are some best color options for kids room that we used, let’s check out projects one by one and see how we designed kids room:

Project: DLF Park Place – Park Tower

Colors used in kid’s room: Pink

Pink: The color best friend of any girl

Our client wanted a kid’s room for their young daughter. The first discussion was about color and we had a talk with their daughter, she told us that she loves pink color. We had our color shortlisted and pink is classic for a reason. It gives a soothing effect and has a quirky feel to it. We kept the whole interior in shades of pink. We kept the wall behind the bed in pink, a darker shade. We went with light shades of pink on other walls. Our interior designers also chose a pink bedsheet with cartoon graphics on it. To add quantity to the room, we added some soft toys on the bed and on the study table.

Project: Grand Arch

Colors used in kid’s room: Blue

Blue color: Helps to reduce daily blues

This client lived with his parents and children and they were looking for a classic room for their children. We had ample area to design the children’s room. For the color scenario, we chose blue as our main color, as for boys blue is the everlasting color. Instead of pale blue, we went with navy blue color decor on the main wall. As interior designers in Gurgaon, we knew we had to keep the main wall of the kid’s room not bland. So, we placed shelf on the wall on one side with space for books and superhero items on the other side. On the cupboard, we went with the graffiti stickers to give a funky look to the kid’s room. As there were 2 children, so we went with 2 single beds, one has a bedsheet of orange color and the other bed has a yellow color bedsheet.

Project: Ireo Grand Arch

Colors used in kid’s room:  Navy Blue

We had to design the son’s bedroom with his favourite color which is navy blue. Navy blue color is the new black nowadays and everyone wants this color only. We designed the wall in navy blue color while maintaining the contrast of the kid’s room. The contrast works well between blue and white. There is also a designer shelf on which we have placed soft toys, antiques and other decor items to give a classic yet new feel. The bedsheet is a printed one which is of navy blue color as well. We gave a clean look to the interiors of cupboards and there is plenty of space for a kid to roam around in the room.
